Enrollment Information 2021-2022

RVMS Registration

Thank you for your interest in attending Rincon Valley Middle School!

First, find your school of residence...

It all begins with your school of residence, also known as your neighborhood school. Find your school by entering your home address into My School Locator.

Registration is online...

To begin the registration process for your child in any grade for the 2020-2021 school year, click on Register Online and answer a series of short questions to ensure you register your student at the correct school. This is STEP 1.

Within a few business days after completing the online form, you should receive an email from Illuminate Ed (our student information system) to complete STEP 2 of the registration process. For most families who are new to our district SRCS, this will include a custom access code to create your parent portal account. Once your parent portal account has been created, you will need to login and complete the full registration form (13 pages).

In addition to the online registration, you will need to have the following:

  • Proof of residency (your name & address on a rental agreement, purchase agreement or utility bill)

  • Proof of student's age (birth certificate)

  • Proof of state required Immunizations

  • Copy of recent report card

  • Copy of previous years standardized test scores (if available)

  • Fill out the RVMS Elective Sheet Request Form

For more information see Enrollment Instructions in English & Spanish.

Did you know...

  • Students who live in the residence area have priority in attending their school of residence (neighborhood school).

  • The district maintains a street grid with addresses for purposes of determining the school of residence (see My School Locator).

  • The SRCS Board of Education establishes the optimal capacity of each school.

What if I want to enroll my child at a school other than our neighborhood school?

  • If you wish to enroll your child in a school other than your neighborhood school, it's considered a transfer. Please visit the Transfers page for more information!
