Science Department Philosophy

Science is a systematic, disciplined and open-minded method of discovery about the natural world. Our activity-based curriculum encourages students to construct meaning about essential scientific concepts while they are busy building models, solving problems and gathering evidence.  Labs are an integral part of each unit. Critical thinking skills are developed as students analyze data and draw connections to their lives. Skill development in note taking and reading comprehension.
